Technical Expert for Satellite Communication Technology (m/f/d)

As an expert in technical operations, you will ensure the trouble-free operation of over 135 large antennas on an area of approx 140 hectares. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, converting, renewing and documenting the antenna technology. In the project business, you will use your technical expertise, knowledge and necessary creativity to develop solutions to enable the transmission and reception of satellite signals on more than 80% of the earth's surface.

In this job, you have a high level of technical understanding, preferably in the field of RF and wired transmission technology, and enjoy working "hands on" on the equipment. You have the ability to grasp and fix technical problems and always give full commitment. From Europe's largest teleport, you will communicate with the stars and help change the world of satellite communications with renowned customers.

• Strategic & Operational management of the transmitting & receiving equipment and associated assemblies
• Operational management of the IP networks for the transmitters & receivers
• Analyses and calculations for the technical feasibility of services
• Technical contact for internal and external customers for operational and conceptual issues
• Responsible for the RF monitoring system
• 3rd level support including an FMEA analysis and initiation of the measures derived from it
• Technical support of implementation, modification and repair projects
• Preparation of decision documents for the Executive Board

• Technical university degree or completed training in the field of information, communications or electrical engineering
• Several years of technical experience in the areas of RF technology, satellite communication, network technology and ITC as well as basic knowledge in mechanics
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and ideally MONICS
• Solid knowledge of the industry & market
• Independent, self-reliant action, high commitment and adaptability
• Strong analytical thinking and abstraction skills, sense of responsibility, organizational, disposition and negotiation skills as well as persuasiveness, assertiveness and secure time management are required
• Willingness for paid on-call duty
• Car driver's license
• Required language skills: English - C1, German - B1
