Shipping and Logistics clerk (m/f/d)

As a shipping and logistics clerk (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the classic forwarding activities of advising and organizing transport, handling and storage processes (TUL process), taking into account economic, scheduling and organizational aspects with a focus on logistics.

• Planning and organizing the dispatch of goods, handling, storage and other logistics services in compliance with relevant legal regulations and environmental protection requirements
• Receiving and inspecting incoming goods at the site
• Checking the type and quantity of goods to be shipped, including preparing the necessary forms (packing data sheets, delivery bills, etc.)
• Professional packaging and securing of devices, small parts and accessories for shipping at home and abroad
• Combining shipments into larger loading units where possible
• Taking into account customs and foreign trade regulations in coordination with external logistics companies and arranging the necessary insurance cover if required
• Compliance with all shipping regulations and freight documents in accordance with international letter of credit regulations
• Controlling and monitoring the interaction of persons and facilities involved in logistics chains
• Correspondence and communication with business partners and customers
• Picking materials and reporting deviations

• A completed commercial apprenticeship is required, ideally in freight forwarding and logistics services or in the logistics sector in general
• Good knowledge and experience of transportation, handling and storage processes
• Class B driving license and knowledge of MS Office
• Hands-on mentality, high level of commitment and mental flexibility as well as a strong ability to work in a team and a high level of reliability
• Good analytical thinking and abstraction skills
• A sense of responsibility, organizational, planning and negotiating skills as well as persuasiveness, assertiveness and good time management skills
• Good communication skills to quickly grasp even complex issues and present them to your contacts in a simple and understandable way
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
