IT Systemadministrator (m/f/d)

As IT System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the operation and ongoing optimization of our IT server landscape in terms of performance and costs. In addition, your focus will include support for the ongoing migration of existing systems to our virtualized platform.

• Planning, preparation, implementation, administration, optimization, further development and operation of the IT infrastructure
• Maintenance and error analysis, preservation of function, security, availability and performance of the IT infrastructure
• Analysis of security risks in the infrastructure, identification of alternative solutions
• Support of the IT service desk, user support (1st and 2nd level)
• Creation and maintenance of system and operational documentation of the server landscape
• Participation in the creation of IT concepts
• Contact person for the departments in the realization of ideas for improved support of business processes
• Active participation in the optimization of operational and work processes within the IT teams
• Collaboration in the creation of migration and integration concepts as well as specifications for (ext) IT service providers
• Planning and management of complex IT projects
• Control of external IT service providers in projects

You have completed professional training in the IT environment (e.g. IT specialist) or have a comparable qualification with several years of experience in the field of system administration and also have the following knowledge:

• Server maintenance and support
• Windows network environments: Windows Server, Active Directory with DFS/DHCP/DNS/GPOs
• Virtualization with VMWare clusters and storage systems
• Network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routing, LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)
• Administration and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange and email environments
• Support of MS SQL database systems
• Hands-on mentality, high level of commitment and intellectual flexibility t as well as distinct ability to work in a team and high reliability
• Strong analytical thinking and abstraction skills, sense of responsibility, organizational, scheduling and negotiation skills, as well as persuasive, assertive and confident time management skills
• Required language skills: German - C1, English - B1
