Sales Engineer (m/f/d) - SATCOM

MBS is recruiting for Satellite Solution engineers of all levels – Junior/Mid and Senior to serve our land/maritime and government customer base.

If you have existing satcomms experience in maritime or land solutions or have IP data networking skills and wish to move into satcomms then we would love to hear from you.

You will be part of the Sales Engineering team and working alongside our sales team in understanding the needs of our customers, capturing and defining the requirements, designing & presenting solutions and delivering/installing these solutions. You will also work with the operational support teams.

• Understanding and capturing customer needs (Requirements Engineering)
• Create concepts & solution design for critical communication solutions (Mobile, Radio, Satcom & terrestrial), including space and data network solutions.
• Develop the cost structure for creating quotations, Tender responses, etc.
• Perform technology evaluation and scouting
• Analysing, testing and roll out of new products and services into MBS & clients portfolio
• Installation and commissioning of critical communications solutions
• Providing 3rd level support to NOC team and customer technical staff to ensure high customer satisfaction and availability.
• Producing detailed documentation for your work
• Participate in customer meetings and acceptance tests

• Preferably you have a degree in communications and/or space engineering or a related field of study
• No degree, but a demonstrable affinity for technology with relevant professional experience? That also convinces us! With a successfully completed apprenticeship, e.g. in the field of electrical engineering, or a qualification with a SATCOM focus, you can score points with us
• Depending on career level, 3 years of professional experience would be desirable
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work with both external and internal stakeholders
• Practical knowledge of satellite communications and data networks (FSS/MSS)
• Deep operational knowledge of SATCOM systems and its elements
• Good knowledge of IP Networking & Routing (incl. SD-WAN); able to configure and deploy basic configurations
• Ability to identify customer needs/requirements and convert to a fulfilling solution or design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent documentation skills – contributing to proposals, design and implementation documents
• Willingness to travel and strong communication and intercultural skills are essential for us
• Required language skills: German - B2, English - B2
