Backend Software Developer (m/f/d)

As part of the ‘New Space’ team, you will help develop the products for a new satellite constellation.

• Participation in the product development team: You will work closely with our team to develop innovative solutions for the Ground Segment Backend. Your contribution is crucial to the success of our new product.
• Planning and implementation of software solutions: You will be responsible for planning and implementing software that manages large amounts of data and provides a powerful API for our users. You emphasise efficiency and user-friendliness.
• Improving our internal tools: You will optimise our existing tools for managing and monitoring our systems in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our workflows.
• Integrating external systems: You will integrate various third-party systems into our Ground Segment software to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Keeping up to date with trends and technologies: You will keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software development to ensure that our solutions remain modern and competitive.

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Ideally, you have experience with Java and Kotlin as well as the Spring Boot Framework to develop robust applications.
• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English to work effectively in a team.
• A passion for satellites and space is desirable as it will help you to navigate our specialised environment.
• Knowledge in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes is an advantage to ensure the quality of our software solutions.
• Experience in deployment and orchestration of Docker applications on on-premise systems is desirable.
• Required language skills: English - B2
