FPGA Developer (m/f/d)

As part of the ‘New Space’ team, you will help develop the products for a new satellite constellation.

• Development of high-throughput digital signal processing algorithms in FPGA: You will be responsible for the design and implementation of efficient algorithms for processing digital signals that require a high data rate. You will utilise modern FPGA technologies to achieve optimal performance.
• Integration of third-party IP cores: You will integrate third-party IP cores into our systems to implement functions such as memory access or network technology. This includes selecting suitable IP cores and customising them to our specific requirements.
• Testing the synthesised programmable logic: You will perform comprehensive testing of the developed logic together with embedded Linux on real hardware. This includes debugging and validating the functionality to ensure that all components work together smoothly.
• Collaboration in an interdisciplinary team: You will work closely with other engineers and specialists from various disciplines to develop innovative solutions and optimise existing systems.

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, communications engineering or a related field.
• You have a sound knowledge of Verilog and are able to design and implement complex digital circuits.
• You have a solid understanding of the principles of digital signal processing and can apply this knowledge in practical applications.
• Ideally, you have already gained experience with AMD Versal or Xilinx Zynq Ultrasca-le+ and know how to optimise their performance.
• You are familiar with the Vivado development environment and the associated tools for FPGA development.
• Knowledge of these build systems is an advantage as it will help you to develop embedded Linux applications efficiently.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes is desirable to ensure the quality of our software solutions.
• Required language skills: English - B2
