Working Student Satellite Software (m/f/d)

As part of the ‘New Space’ team, you will help develop the products for a new satellite constellation.

• Implementing an in-orbit software update mechanism for Petalinux: You will develop a mechanism that allows software updates to be performed while a satellite is in operation.
• Securing an embedded Linux system with a direct connection to a modem: You will work on securing a system that is potentially vulnerable to attacks and address the challenges associated with satellite security.
• Implementing a GNU Radio execution environment on an ARM-based on-board computer: You will implement GNU Radio on an ARM-based system to optimize signal processing and communication.

• You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in computer science or a related field.
• You can communicate well in English to work effectively in a team.
• A passion for satellites and space is desirable as it will help you to navigate our specialized environment.
• Knowledge of Git and GitLab CI/CD is an advantage to support team collaboration.
• A good grounding in a scripting language such as Bash or Python will help you with automation and scripting development.
• You want to explore how software interacts with hardware and the challenges that can arise.
• Required language skills: English - B2
