As an expert in technical operations, you will ensure the trouble-free operation of over 135 large antennas on an area of approx 140 hectares. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, converting, renewing and documenting the antenna technology. In the project business, you will use your technical expertise, knowledge and necessary creativity to develop solutions to enable the transmission and reception of satellite signals on more than 80% of the earth's surface.

In this job, you have a high level of technical understanding, preferably in the field of RF and wired transmission technology, and enjoy working "hands on" on the equipment. You have the ability to grasp and fix technical problems and always give full commitment. From Europe's largest teleport, you will communicate with the stars and help change the world of satellite communications with renowned customers.

Your tasks:
  • Ensuring the smooth 24/7 operation of all teleport systems with a clear focus on availability
  • Coordination and management of external system suppliers within the framework of vendor management, including technical alignment and quality assurance
  • Analysis, evaluation, and co-development of satellite-based systems (GEO, MEO, LEO), considering architecture, operational procedures, and interfaces
  • Development, simulation, and integration of antenna designs into existing systems
  • Application of modern signal processing techniques to optimize satellite-based communication systems
  • Preparation and analysis of link budgets to ensure and improve transmission quality
  • Planning and integration of high-frequency systems within the scope of RF engineering
  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of IP-based network infrastructures with a focus on routing, switching, and security
  • Fault analysis and sustainable troubleshooting in complex system environments
  • Operation, maintenance, and continuous optimization of teleport infrastructure, including power supply, air conditioning, and backup systems
  • Integration and support of antenna mechanics and control systems within ground stations
  • Use and further development of monitoring tools for performance analysis and system monitoring
Your profile:
  • You have a degree in information technology, communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • You bring several years of hands-on experience in high-frequency technology, satellite communications, network engineering, and ICT, and also possess basic knowledge of mechanics
  • You are proficient in using MS Office; ideally, you also have experience with MONICS
  • You are well-acquainted with the industry and the market
  • You are characterized by a high level of self-reliance, initiative, and flexibility
  • Your strong analytical and abstract thinking skills, combined with organizational talent, negotiation skills, and effective time management, round off your profile
  • A strong sense of responsibility, assertiveness, and persuasiveness are also among your strengths
  • You are willing to participate in a paid on-call duty rotation
  • You hold a Class B driver’s license
  • Required language skills: English – C1, German – B1
