Playout Operator (m/f/d)

As a Playout Operator (m/f/d), you will take on a responsible key role in broadcasting operations: you will be the central point of contact for technology and customer service, control and monitor the smooth running of over 50 TV channels, oversee special programmes and coordinate live broadcasts. This position is based on-site at our offices in Unterföhring near Munich.

• Independent and autonomous operation of the transmission automation and server systems
• Monitoring of broadcast quality
• Receiving, evaluating and analyzing faults according to severity, scope and operational and customer relevance
• First and second line service in case of major incidents and maintenance of broadcasting service
• Operation of the associated devices, switchers and communication facilities
• Monitoring and control of the DVB broadcast equipment
• Quality check of incoming lines / audio signals
• Preparation of detailed fault reports and analysis of fault events, identification of quality deficiencies and development of supporting measures for quality improvement

• Ability to recognise and understand faults and derive measures
• Enthusiasm to familiarize oneself with new technologies and to implement it in operative processes
• Excellent communication skills to quickly grasp complex technical issues and present them to contacts in a simple and understandable way
• Independent, autonomous behaviour, high level of commitment and mental flexibility as well as very good assertiveness
• Excellent teamwork and cross-functional cooperation
• Constant motivation to drive improvements
• Willingness to work shift (3-shift schedule)
• Required language skills: English - B2
