(Senior) Fullstack Developer (m/f/d)

MBS is a German owner-managed company specializing in secure communications and space, with around 300 employees across the group. With our own ground stations in Germany and Europe as well as operational payloads in orbit, we have been developing and operating space-based solutions for government and industrial customers worldwide for almost 50 years. Our core services include satellite communications, satellite-based intelligence, and Managed Gateways.

As part of the ‘New Space’ team, you will help develop the products for a new satellite constellation.

• Work as part of the software development team for the ground segment (Mission Control / User segment) backend and frontend (Department New Space)
• Plan, implement software to manage big data amounts and provide a performant API and a usable UI for external and internal customers
• Improve our inhouse tooling for the management and monitoring our systems
• Integrate multiple foreign systems into the ground segment software
• Stay up to date with latest trends and technologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Knowledge of JVM based languages (ideally Java and Kotlin)
• Knowledge of Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and Svelte
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• Curiosity for satellites and space

Preferred Qualifications

• Gitlab CI/CD
• Experience with electron
• Deployment and Orchestration of Docker (Kubernetes) on Premise
• Insights into satellite operations and mission control software
