System Engineer Satellite (m/f/d)

As part of the ‘New Space’ team, you will help develop the products for a new satellite constellation.

• Design, customization, and integration of satellite systems
• Analysis and specification of system requirements
• Development and documentation of system architectures and interface descriptions, including requirements definition, functional decomposition, and interface control
• Planning and execution of system tests and simulations
• Monitoring and optimization of satellite systems during operational phases
• Analysis of system performance data, identification of potential issues, and development of solutions
• Troubleshooting of complex system-level problems and providing technical guidance to team members
• Constant monitoring of the market to identify new trends and technologies early
• Collaboration with internal and external partners, including multidisciplinary teams of engineers, developers, and project managers
• Attendance at trade fairs and conferences for market observation and professional networking
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation throughout the system lifecycle

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in system engineering, ideally in the satellite sector
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, interfaces, data processing, and transmission
• Experience with satellite bus systems and payloads
• Familiarity with simulation tools and testing procedures
• Experience with relevant hardware and software components such as antennas, transponders, modems, and control systems
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, and structured, independent working style
