As an Information Security Officer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for protecting our highly available communication and IT systems and the information processed within them. In this key role, you will develop and manage security strategies to safeguard our information and communication infrastructure – including critical satellite and network technologies – against cyber threats. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and national as well as international authorities, directly contributing to the availability, functionality, and integrity of secure communications for government agencies, public safety organizations, and military partners within the EU and NATO.

• Develop, enhance, and implement the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001, BSI standards, IT-Grundschutz compendium, and regulations such as NIS2 and SÜG
• Design, implement, and maintain IT security concepts, information security policies, and processes for our highly available IT and communication infrastructure
• Monitor trends and regulatory developments in IT and information security, derive necessary measures, and ensure their implementation
• Continuous risk and threat analysis, definition, and follow-up of appropriate protective measures
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits and accreditations
• Lead incident management and response processes, including documentation of security incidents
• Participate in projects with government agencies, public safety organizations (BOS), and EU/NATO military partners, considering specific security requirements (e.g., classified information handling)

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, IT Security, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience, or recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GSLC, GSTRT, etc.)
• Several years of experience in information or IT security, ideally in critical infrastructures, government environments, or telecommunications
• In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ISO 27001, BSI standards, NIS2, GDPR); familiarity with military or governmental security requirements (e.g., classified information handling) is an advantage
• Experience in operating and securing complex networks, IT infrastructures, and applications
• Strong understanding of risk and vulnerability management as well as incident response
• Analytical thinking, structured and responsible working style
• Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and teamwork
• Required language skills: German – C1, English – C1
