IT System Administrator / IT Specialist (m/f/d)

Media Broadcast Satellite GmbH (MBS) is a reliable service integrator for critical communications services and operator of managed gateways. We have been operating data and voice communications via satellite and data networks for more than 40 years – worldwide and in space. Our expertise ranges from classic satellite services to tailor-made applications in the New Space field.

In this role, you ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and support the continuous improvement of system stability, performance and security. You will work closely with our local administrator in Minsk, managing systems, networks and virtual environments. Together, you build a reliable and modern IT environment that enables our business to grow.

• Administration of Windows and Linux systems, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Active Directory and basic Exchange management also for the MDM system
• Managing virtualization environments (VMware Proxmox), including VM migration and backup configuration (Veeam)
• Basic network tasks (routing, switching, Wi-Fi)
• 1st and 2nd level user support and close cooperation with other (international) IT teams
• Hardware-related activities such as rack cabling, component replacement and occasional structural cabling
• Supporting internal audits (inventory & documentation)
• Knowledge sharing and collaboration with local interns

• Experience in system administration (Windows/Linux)
• Basic networking knowledge (routing/switching/Wi-Fi)
• Understanding of virtualization environments (VMware, Proxmox)
• Required language skills: English - C1, Polish - C2
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to perform technical on-site tasks

• Scripting skills (Batch, Bash, PowerShell or Python)
• Basic database knowledge (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and interest in automation
• Enjoy sharing knowledge and supporting young talents
