As a Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d), you are our digital shield — and the architect behind secure infrastructures that work between Earth and space. At one of our locations in Usingen near Frankfurt, Munich, or Hamburg, you will develop security strategies, plan defensive measures, and implement state-of-the-art protection mechanisms. You will identify threats before they arise, analyze security-relevant events, and ensure that our systems, networks, and satellite communications remain protected at all times. • Development, implementation, and operation of security solutions in IT On-Prem and cloud environments
• Monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of security-relevant events – from prevention to incident response
• Building and maintaining SIEM, XDR, and IDS/IPS systems, including tuning, use case design, and automation
• Conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and continuous security audits
• Integration of Security-by-Design principles into our IT and network architectures
• Creation and maintenance of security policies, concepts, and documentation
• International collaboration with departments and external partners to implement state-of-the-art security standards

• Completed degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the field of Cyber Security, IT Security Engineering, or Security Operations
• In-depth knowledge of network security, firewalls, SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and cloud security technologies
• Experience in incident handling, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• Ideally, certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar
• Good scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) are a plus
• Analytical thinking, self-reliance, and a strong security mindset
• Required language skills: German – C1, English – C1
