Test Engineer (m/w/d)

With our own ground stations in Germany and Europe as well as operational payloads in orbit, we have been developing and operating space-based solutions for government and industrial customers worldwide for almost 50 years. Our core services include satellite communications, satellite-based intelligence, and Managed Gateways.

We’re looking for a Test Engineer (m/f/d) to put our embedded systems through their paces. You’ll automate tests, integrate hardware-in-the-loop setups into our CI pipeline, and work with developers to track down bugs all the way to the hardware interface. Your goal: robust systems, reproducible tests, and software you can rely on.

• Develop and maintain automated tests for our embedded systems, primarily using Robot Framework
• Set up hardware-in-the-loop and integration tests and integrate them into our CI pipeline
• Analyze bugs together with developers, from the software down to the hardware interface
• Improve our test tooling and contribute your own ideas

• Experience with Robot Framework or a comparable test automation framework
• Confident working with Linux (shell, scripting, ideally Embedded Linux)
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems, e.g. microcontrollers, FPGAs, interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C, CAN or Ethernet, and test equipment
• Knowledge of Python
• Enthusiasm for space is a big plus, but prior experience in the space industry is not required
